Lionel Messi was born in Rosario, Argentina on June 24th, 1987. But Messi wasn't like other kids. From a young age, Messi struggled with his height and was dignosed with a growth deficiency, but his love for soccer kept growing.
Once he was able to overcome his obstacles, people began to see his talent and he was taken into the youth acadamy of Barcelona in Spain at just the age of 13. His talent was incredible and at the age of 17 Messi made his debut for Barcelona, scoring a goal. The rest is history.
As Messi grew in popularity, Messi earned his first ballodor in 2009 for his incredible performances with Barcelona and Argentina. Messi wasn't just a goalscorer, he created many plays and was a great passer, having over 350 assists in his career so far. Now, Messi has 7 ballondors, holding the record for most ballondors and the record for most goals/assists in a calender year, 91.
Messi has scored many goals for Barcelona, and was apart of one of the best attack lines in soccer history, the MSN (Messi Neymar Suarez) and won many trophies with them. But as the years past at Barcelona, the team was getting weaker. So weak that the club couldn't even afford Messi, meaning Messi had to be sold in August 2021 to Paris SG.
Messi has won 10 laliga titles, 7 copa del rays and 4 Champion Leagues with Barcelona, as well as a Copa America and World Cup with Argentina. He has 792 goals and 382 assists in 1003 games, being the leading assister oat.
Recently, on December 18th, Messi won the one thing he had been trying to win his whole career, The World Cup. Argentina beat France in a 3-3 game that led to penalties where Argentina won 4-2. Now that messi has passed almost every milestone there is to pass, is he considered the best to play the game? I think so.
