This world cup has had many great moments, and new players have arose aswell as other great players. An unexpected goalscorer this world cup was Cody Gakpo, a Netherlands forward who scored 4 goals in this years world cup, two being against Senegal in the group stage. Also Valencia from Equador did very well scoring 3 goals before getting knocked out in the group stage. Kylian Mbappe, the young French striker was been doing incredible and has racked in 5 goals, showing that France has a large chance of winning. Cristiano Ronaldo didn't do well, scoring 1 goal.
his years World Cup, being the 22 World Cup is being hosted in the coutry Qatar, located in Asia next to Saudi Arabia. This is also the first world cup ever to be hosted during Winter, because of Qatars warm climate. Qatar was chosen to host the World Cup for a few reasons. One reason was because FIFA wanted to bring the World Cup to a new part of the world, and a World Cup has never been hosted in an Islamic country. Another reason for the World Cup being held in Qatar is because of the contruction of infrastructure that was needed to create the staduims which opened up many different jobs for people. Each staduim is also no less than 2 hours apart, making it easier for fans to watch more games. Seven staduims were built for this world cup, all using air conditioning. The largest staduim can hold 100,000 people. Qatar was also chosen because it gives Qatar a chance to celebrate it's growing love for the game.
